OUR HISTORY:

Schafer Oil Company was founded in 1945 by Elmer Schafer.  The business started with delivery of home fuel oil and farm fuel.  In the late 40's Schafer became a Fleet-Wing (now Pennzoil) distributor.

Schafer added the Marathon brand in 1979 and Sunoco in 1981.  

      2nd Generation:

  Elmer's son, Dale, started working in October, 1968.  Elmer's other three sons, Frank, Randy, and Tom joined in the years following.

      3rd Generation: 

 Elmer's first grandson, Andy, started working in June, 1994.  Tony followed in June, 1998.

​    4th Generation:

 The legacy continues with many of the great grandkids already becoming a part of the business.   Clayton Schafer, son of Andy & Holly, joined the business as a full time employee in May of 2022. 

Schafer Transport hauls gasoline and diesel fuels to customers in an approximate 100 mile radius of Fort Loramie, Ohio.

Schafer Propane provides propane to farms, home heating, businesses, and trucking companies.

Schafer Oil Company provides gasoline and diesel fuels along with motor oil to farms, home heating, businesses, and trucking companies.  Schafer Oil is also a distributor of Marathon and Sunoco gasoline and diesel.
